Arta Plage is a very interesting place. It is rocky, windy, and desolate on first glance. The bombed out concrete buildings that now serve as bathrooms and changing places for guests face the ocean where local sea captains put their boats in to fish. The reefs are some of the best in the world; a place where the Red Sea ecosystem meets the Indian Ocean ecosystem and a favorite of Jacques Cousteau. This is not a typical beach experience, but is a great day trip for those wanting to do some amazing snorkeling and swim with the whale sharks. You can book your trip here.
